Relief food assistance to refugees in Yemen

Refugees lost everything, and they need all of our support
Violence, cholera, poverty, coronavirus, looming famine. The situation in Yemen could not be more critical

Yemen is gripped by the world’s worst humanitarian crisis, entirely man-made. After 7 years of conflict, over 20 million people are in need of urgent help. More than 80% of the Yemeni people depend on humanitarian aid to survive. COVID-19 is just another issue on top of existing crises.

The most urgent task we have in Yemen today is to prevent widespread famine. Displaced families are four times more at risk of famine than the rest of the population.

AidNation is on the ground providing humanitarian relief and protection across Yemen to hundreds of displaced people. We are delivering emergency supplies, providing families with shelter and keeping them safe from harm. But we cannot do it alone .

Give Life Give Water

Yemen is a country with one of the highest rates of population growth in the world. It is also the country with the highest rate of exhaustion of water sources in the Middle East. Sana’a is the only capital city in the world that may run out of water within the next decade. The combination of high population growth and exhaustion of water has contributed to a severe water crisis in Yemen that may be one of the most catastrophic in the world. Unless immediate action is taken, Yemen may experience mass fatalities caused by dehydration of its people.

we can completely revolutionise the way countless women in poverty are currently having to live their lives. By installing a simple water pump close to their home, those many hours a day spent walking miles just for clean water are significantly reduced and they can focus on improving their family income. As the family have access to clean water, there is a significant reduction in the risk of disease and contamination. This means people are healthier for longer, and that families are less worried about heavy medical bills.

A water pump is a small but efficient mechanism which can support a household or a small communal area with access to clean drinking water. Currently we are supporting the installation of water pump in different area in Yemen . Hand pumps provide households with as much water as they need each day for drinking, cleaning and cooking.
